5 Favorite Hair Products

Do you have volumnless, easily breakable hair like I do? And do you also have the misfortune to live in the colder, dryer part of the world? Living in Chicago, the Windy City, means there's almost 0 good hair day for me. But I'm trying to change that.

This past winter I decided to say goodbye to drug store shampoo and conditioner and upgraded all of my hair products. (ok... it's nothing fancy like I changed from drug store brands to using cavaier or snail essence to wash my hair) I'm happy to say that my hair has finally restored its shine and strengh.

The followings are my favorite:

#1 Kiehl's Rice & Wheat Volumizing Shampoo ($18, 8.4oz.)

Why I love it: This shampoo smells so good! It's light weight and definitely helps volumnizing my hair.  I'm already on my second bottle. Wish Kiehl's will offer this one in 1 liter bottle in the future!

Why I love it:

I like to use the Norishing Olive Fruit Oil Shampoo when I know I'm against a windy, dry day. This rich shampoo helps me to keep my hair moistrized so it won't break so easily.

#3 Kieh's Damange Reparing & Rehydating Leave-In Treatment ($25, 2.5oz.)

Why I love it:

I have this bad habit of "playing" with my hair when I'm thinking or stressed. By playing I meant constantly twirling, brushing, pulling, and more twirling this particular patch of my hair... It's kind of like some people would bite their nails when they are nervous. I have been trying to hold a stress ball to fix this bad habit but... let's just say it's a working progress. In the meantime, I'm so happy that I had discovered the Damanged Repariing $ rehydrating Leave-In Treatment. Instead of playing with that poor patch of my hair, I apply the Leave- In Treatment. I keep a bottle at my office. It rehydates the split ends and smells wonderful. Let's see if this sad patch of hair will grow out at the end of this year.

#4 Lush Jersey Bounce Shampoo ($9.95-$19.95, 4.2-10.2oz)

Why I love it:

I have been a fan of Lush since I was in high school. The Jersey Bounce Shampoo brings most volume to my hair! I was a bit skeptical about the smell at first because I saw the shampoo contains free range eggs. I was sniffing it at the store and made sure I didn't get any egg smells before I purchased it. Sea salt is one of the ingredients which makes your scalp feels extra clean.

#5 Moroccan Oil Treatment ($15-$34, 0.85-1.7oz)

 Why I love it:

I'm sure this is a stable in your haircare routine already. It smells amazing and it makes my hair shine! Need me to say more?
